Module Outline: An exciting new module from an experienced practioner and theologian, Dr Bob Ekblad, looking at cutting edge mission and evangelism in the power of the Spirit, with particular emphasis on reaching marginalised people groups.

Dr Bob Ekblad is a biblical theologian with a unique experience of 25 years of mission in South America, Africa and North America. He works with the poor and ethnic minorities, especially in prisons, and combines a commitment to advocacy and justice with ministry in the power of the Spirit and the critical role of Signs and Wonders. He teaches at Regent College, Vancouver, is an international speaker and has written two books—Reading the Bible with the Damned (2005) and A New Christian Manifesto: Pledging Allegiance to the Kingdom of God (2008).

Assessed study: This module will be assessed by essay to be submitted following completion of the intensive teaching sessions.

This module is for ordinands training as Pioneer Ministers in the Anglican Church and is open to anyone wanting to explore the area of Mission.

Lectures for this module will assume a basic grounding in Christian theology. That grounding may have been achieved through study at Levels 1 and/or 2 of an undergraduate degree or it may have come through private study and years of Christian experience. But this module is not suitable for those with absolutely no prior theological experience.
